Site Choice

Brooklyn Site

My reason behind choosing this particular site location over the other is mainly because this site has an very exciting unobstructed view of the Brooklyn bridge. This is because there is an adjacent parking lot to the site which allows for parking and would be a plus in not only having great views from inside the building but also helps to show the aesthetics of the building while approaching or even while driving on the Brooklyn bridge. This site also has a very cool feature about it; It has an alley which could be used for a number of different things like for example deliveries which would ease congestion and help to unblock the crowded narrow streets of DUMBO.

Matrix and Bubble Diagram

This is my matrix and bubble diagram.. This is basically going to show the relationship of the spaces to each other.. This also helps with allocating which room goes or would most likely go next to the other..

Building Concept (Parti)

This is my concept for my building... I will be looking at hexagons. I will be constructing, destructing, arranging, rearranging, interlocking, stacking hexagons etc. To come up with a design which is suitable and functionally correct for my building type.. I will be looking at the formation of hexagons in every aspect..
